Open Question: Who was right in this situation?
A friend and I (and another but that's irrelevant right now) are making a film for a project for school (no boundaries) and we were discussing what we were going to do with it. Now this friend hadn't been much help at all during the brainstorming but when we got our basic idea, she seemed mostly in control. And now she was suggesting that we include lots of movie quotes, for some reason. I suppose people like pop culture references, but she wanted lots of them. So I asked why and she said to be unique and original, so I asked
"What's unique and original about taking things from other movies?" and then she got grumpy and told me to stop complaining about everything. I said I never said we shouldn't do it, so she said
"Why do you always have to question things even if you agree with them?"
I do question things a lot, when I find something about them potentially bad or if I don't understand. Here, I was just trying to ask questions like this as criticism of the idea so that it could be explained and developed so that we could make as good a film as possible. So I told her that, and she said that it's not helpful when it's just a put-down. I didn't mean it as a put-down, but I didn't say that right at that moment. I told her that she puts me down all the time. She actually does give a lot of offhand comments which I find insulting or mean whether or not she notices. And then, she said that hers were justified! And then the bell went and we left, but I felt really insulted by this.
Who was right? And also, nobody tell me I shouldn't be friends with her. She's normally nice. This is what to me seems to be a bitchy moment.

Open Question: Differences between the 1980s and the 1990s?
What are some differences between the 1980s and the 1990s (pop culture, fashion, economics, ect.).
I am fully aware that the 1980s were between 1980 - 1989 and that the 1990s were between 1990 - 1999, and that they were ten years apart from each other, so no need to submit those answers.
